We’ve been away for the weekend! Not to rub it in or anything but it was wonderful, there is a fabulous novelty to stepping onto to dry, wobble free land for a couple of days. It was a total surprise to me, but James organised a long weekend away for us, which is totally out of character I’m still waiting to discover the route cause!
It would seem he has finally accepted that I’m a complete queen and booked us in for a stay in a welsh castle for the weekend, because I’m suffering a serious case of the long weekend blues today I’m going to dedicate a post to talking all about it. Advance warning this post is not going to be very boaty.
The castle was surprisingly cosy, I always imagined cold bleakness, but it was toasty and comfortable, whilst we arrived in the dark waking up the next morning to a courtyard full of peacocks was incredible. James managed to accidentally book us into the castle right at the centre of the Welsh Rally course for the weekend. How he managed to do this without knowing I don’t know, must be a well trained motorsport nose! So on Saturday he got his petrol head fix, we took a trip to Llandudno and of course spent much of the morning feeding loose change into the 02p machines!
Sunday whilst the rally roared past our doorstep poor James had to take us to the activity he had planned, a horse trek through Snowdonia, he managed to get a couple of videos of the incredible rally cars before leaving, and has continued to watch them on repeat since!
I really love Wales, it’s such a wonderful and diverse place with so much to see and do, and after the most wonderful surprise weekend I’m struggling to get back into the swing of normal life, fingers crossed for 6 numbers and a bonus ball hey!
